The NAWT Inspector certification and re-certification class on July 27-28 was a huge success, thanks to the many people who attended and supported the class. Special thanks to Dahl Plumbing, Infiltrator, Inc., Atlas Pumping, American Pumping and Sludgehammer and the NAWT Instructors, Dave Gustafson and Bruce Lesiker.   A typical evaluation report from a class participant: "Really enjoyed having Bruce as well as Dave" "I also enjoyed the content - I told my boss it was the BEST NAWT refresher I'd ever been to. (and this was my 5th one)"

Legal update: see transcript of June 30 hearing before District Judge Hall, in POWRA v. Curry, regarding licensure and certification requirements, where NM Environment Department has not complied with the ruling of the Environmental Improvement Board and failed to challenge the conflict of the EIB's action with the CID (Construction Industries Division) as to permits for various types of contractors. NMED is trying to fix their legal problem with the court by violating the Constitutional prohibition of doing exactly that, i.e., changing the law to avoid the legal consequences of their wrong doing. (See request for hearing letter from Chuck Noble. Then see the letter to Joyce Medina from the attorney for POWRA.)
